Our task at Copthall was to replace two chillers.

With the chillers located on a roof that was situated over 60 metres from the nearest road, a Grove, 400 tonne crane was required to assist with this process. For health and safety reasons, a 200 metre road closure of London Wall in the City Centre was put in place to allow the erection of the crane.

Due to the time it takes to erect the crane, this project was carried out in 2 lifts which were carried out a month apart from each other.

We managed to place the chillers in exactly the same positions and carried out all the pipework modifications required. Once in place, the chillers were working and fully commissioned within one week.
