Emergency Power works for the ‘Spirit of Christmas’ Lights at Regent Street

Highlights of Services Completed Included:

We received a call from The Crown Estates urgently requiring our help. A flood in a building by the Quadrant, caused a major power outage and four of the ‘Spirits’ lights in Regent Street were down.

Our services were immediately requested to site to investigate the feasibility of getting the four ‘Spirits’ lights switched back on as quickly as possible.

The Investigation:

The investigation concluded, we had a solution to urgently create a temporary power supply to ensure the lights turn back on again.

Regent Street is extremely busy this time of year, therefore our team of engineers attended the site during off peak times, along with our cherry picker.

To reinstate the lights, our high-level equipment was placed in a position to allow us to reach a new temporary power supply. In light of this, we supplied and fitted 500 meters of power cable and new controls. Starting from another building to create the new source of power.

Once the new power cable was in place, we were able to reinstate the four ‘Spirits’ lights to their former brilliance, lighting up Regent Street once more.

The Outcome:

The ‘Spirit of Christmas’ is back on, IDWe Ltd saved Christmas in London!

Our team was responsive to a flooding disaster which damaged the exiting power supply. Therefore, we responded quickly and found a solution to source new power supplies. While using our high-level equipment and restored the four ‘Spirits’ lights.
